Packaging waste recycling and comprehensive utilization (Part I)

various waste packaging materials and packaging materials are an important source of pollution. Therefore, effective recycling and comprehensive utilization of it is an objective requirement for human self-existence. Its significance lies in:

first, it is conducive to the protection of the ecological environment.

at present, due to the negative effects of various pollution factors, the ecological environment has been increasingly damaged, and the safety of human survival is endangered. Not in terms of the world, but in terms of the current environmental situation in China, it is already very serious and worrying. According to relevant data, its severity is reflected in:

-- freshwater resources are being destroyed day by day. In China, more than 35 billion tons of sewage are discharged into fresh water every year, accounting for 36% of urban river sections. 50% of the urban water sources are polluted, and the coastal waters are also seriously polluted

-- the air is increasingly polluted. In China, 120 million tons of dust and 7million tons of sulfur dioxide are discharged into the air every year. The concentration of suspended particles in the sky of some cities exceeds dozens of times the standard set by the World Health Organization. There are even heavy metal dust and toxic waste gas drifting in China's atmosphere

-- solid waste is increasing day by day. China discharges more than 600million tons of industrial waste every year. Now, 7-8 billion tons of waste have been accumulated, covering an area of nearly 700million square meters. Urban domestic waste (solid waste) exceeded 140million tons in 1994, and increased by 10% every year. These wastes have seriously polluted China's rivers, lakes, coastal waters and farmland. Many industrial cities are "surrounded" by garbage, especially the "white" pollution is more serious, and the consequences are endless

-- soil erosion is becoming more and more serious. At present, the area of water and soil loss in China has reached 3.67 million square kilometers, accounting for 38.2% of the total land area. Over the past 40 years, the area of cultivated land has been reduced by more than 40million mu, and there is still a trend of aggravation

-- the area of forest and grassland is decreasing day by day. At present, China's forest coverage is only 13.5%, only about 60% of the world average. The degraded grassland area in China is nearly 100million hectares, accounting for 1/3 of the existing grassland. China has 2100 square kilometers of desertified land every year, and the total area of desertified land reaches 15. It is not easy to master 30000 square kilometers, accounting for 16% of the total land area. Taking Qilian Mountain as an example, the forest coverage rate in 1950s was 22.4%, and now it has decreased to 14.4%. The glaciers' snow water decreased and the snow line rose. The glaciers in some sections retreated at a rate of 16.8 meters per year. The desert in the north of the corridor invaded the south, forcing nearly 2million mu of farmland to be abandoned. 6million mu of farmland was damaged by wind and sand. In the past, oasis agriculture was fragile

-- the urban population is increasing day by day. In 1949, there were 450 cities in China. At present, the non-agricultural cities have obtained the certification and license of general motors, Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Fiat Chrysler and other main engine plants. The population is 146million, including 30 cities with more than 1million people; In 1993, there were 570 cities in China, with a population of nearly 200million, including nearly 100 cities with more than 500000 people, showing an explosive increase compared with the 1950s. This has caused the "modern four evils" of water, air, solid waste and noise pollution. In urban pollution, various packaging wastes account for a considerable proportion. Therefore, paying attention to the recycling and comprehensive utilization of packaging waste is the effective protection of the ecological environment

II. It is conducive to saving the earth's resources

the earth's resources are limited, but human development is infinite. The limited resources on the earth will only become less and less due to the continuous consumption of human beings. Moreover, once some resources are consumed, they are unlikely to regenerate and grow, let alone "change" them like magic masters. The stage performance of the magic master is just an art and fantasy, which can never become an eternal reality. China is a country that is not rich in resources. Therefore, we must not be complacent about the "vast territory and abundant resources" in the past. According to the national average of 1.2 billion people, the proportion of China's resources is quite low. Only in terms of forest area, the total area can occupy the 5th place in the world, while the per capita area occupies the 119th place, which can be said to be the last

packaging plays an important role in commodities, and high-quality packaging will add some added value to commodities. However, after the packaging is used, those with recycling value throw it away at will as waste and additional waste, which is not only a pollution to the environment, but also a waste of resources. As the staff of Beijing "global village - Environmental Culture Center" said, to improve the ability to lead development: "throwing away all kinds of packaging wastes is garbage, and classifying them can turn them into resources and wealth", which is very reasonable. At present, some regions and units are starting to re refine gasoline, diesel oil or other useful substances from various waste plastic products, which is a useful exploration to turn "garbage" into "resources". Moreover, the largest amount of packaging materials is cardboard

93% of the world's papermaking raw fiber (including waste utilization) is wood. It is not difficult to imagine how much pressure such a large cost of papermaking raw materials has put on the earth! However, the large-scale deforestation has seriously endangered the environment for human survival. Therefore, the recycling of various packaging wastes, to a large extent, should focus on the recycling of wastes, and the recycling of waste paper and waste plastics to a large extent, which not only directly or indirectly protects the ecological environment, but also effectively saves the earth's resources.
